tierd....

Ah my contest piece was fun tonight. I felt inspired and alive and the music was intense. Not sure if it was passionate, but it was intense. Jordan says that a lot, I've been picking it up from her.

Barber's Adagio for Strings: Ah I'm in love. That and the Elgar Nimrod Variations are the most beautiful things I've ever played. Beautiful doesn't always mean the most fun but beautiful is always good. I wonder what's the most fun thing I've ever done. Messiah was definately the most grueling. Sound of Music was fun. Carmen was really fun. The Mussorsky was really fun. I like fast and loud. Especially with lots of tympani.

I've cut a lot of arm stuff out of my workout while I'm prepping for contest. I don't want to hurt myself and my wrist is already bothering me. That was about it. Nice Weather

Ah physics is all in good fun.

Standing out by the bus was nice in the beautiful weather. It was sunny and warm and pleasant. Waiting for the bus the past two weeks has been a bit like standing in cold broken shower with clothes on. But today was very nice. Parker tried to train his inanimate objects to behave. At Evergreen we got waiver thingies for the rock gym, so hopefully we'll get to do that sometime soon. Although I don't think I'm going to do it untill after contest because I have to save my hands. We did the eliptical machine for 15 mins, urged a 1k (4:35, slow time) and stretched for ten minutes or so. I forgot paper for the machines but I'm guessing it was about the same as Sunday's workout. I'm pretty consistant. Except we didn't have time to run stairs. As I said earlier, I'm going to start not doing as much arm stuff until contest because I can feel a hard work out when I practice. But that's only until Feb. 4. Oh god, so soon.

Sunday

Ah it stopped raining. I must admit I'm glad. I want to dry out a bit. Then it can rain again. Yesterday I did nothing. Well, not really, I restarted my novel. Again. This one is giving me problems. Kind of depressing. I found a good quote though. "Writing is easy: all you do is site stareing at a blank sheet of paper until the drops of blood form on your forehead." - Gene Fowler. That's been me the past few days.

Went for a bike ride this morning. 40 minutes, about 5 miles, I'm guessing. This afternoon I went out to Evergreen and got my own basket and lock so I can leave my shoes and stuff out there. That'll be handy.

My internet is up again. It's been pretty dodgy the past week. Hence my lack of updates. Went to Evergreen for about an hour and a half on Sunday which I have numbers from.

Everything is ten reps. We only had time for one set.
Then we ran four flights of stairs and did wall sits for about two minutes. I'm not totally sure about the wall sits, we were listening to a girl practice piano in the next room.

Today we went out for about an hour and a half. Erged a 1k for warmup in 4:28. Pretty slow time. My weight sets were about the same as Sunday but we did two sets of the machines. For dips I did their suggested work out at 90lbs, that was insane. Three different kinds of pull ups and three ten rep sets of dips. Then I did wall sits while Jeff did the dip workout. So probably about four minutes of wall sits.

I don't like doctors

This has got to be quick because I have to go to bed. I have like no time. And for some reason I'm happy. Usually I detest being busy. I guess if I'm busy with stuff I like to do, it's okay.

Anyway, this is for yesterday because I actually wrote down what I did. Didn't do anything today because my mother informed me last night I had an allergy doc appointment. I hate doctors. Let me rephrase that. I appreciate them, but I don't like them.

So: yesterday
Warm up for ten minutes on the tread mil on level 1 and stretched out. We couldn't stay long so we just did one set of weights. I don't know what all the machines are called so I made a few names up. And I did ten reps for everything.
Leg extension: 20lbs
Leg curl (this is the devil): 20lbs
Forarm press down thingie: 20 lbs
Dips (I actually did ten this time): 70lbs
pull forward thingie bit like an urg: 30lbs
Back extension: 20lbs
Resistance: 21lbs

Holy crap, trigometric identities. It's math homework without numbers. Skipping two grades of math in middle school, not good plan. Seven problems took me probably about two hours.

Exercise
Went to Evergreeny after school, cardio on the stairclimber for ten minutes, cross country setting, level 1. Stretch out. Urg a 1k, nice and slow. 1 set of ten reps for everything in the weight room usually on the lowest setting. Except for the dips, I only did five of those on 60 lbs. Those are evil. I meant to write down what weights on machine but I forgot paper, will remember tomorrow. Free weights, 8 lbs in each hand: bicep curls, shrug things, triceps, military press (?) and the one with a knee and a hand on the bench lifting up to the chest, all ten reps each. Another set of ten reps on the machines. Ran up and down the stairwell four times, that's three flights I think. One minute of planks, one minute of wall sits, 20 dead ants, (feet in the air, reach for feet with hands getting lower back off ground) more stretching. Change and back on the bus. And almost didn't get off the bus when the driver didn't see we wanted to get off. Walk home in the rain.

And I made it all the way through the Bach 2nd suite prelude and it was awesome. My contest piece is going well, I guess, I just don't have the right image for it. I thought I did, but it only works when I'm depressed.

Lots of Cycling

Busy busy dizzy. Friday: debate tournament from seven in the morning till eleven at night. So I really didn't work out. I did watch a lot of Arrested Devolpement and Eddie Izzard. Eddie Izzard is my new hero. British transvestite who makes fun of just about every country that ever existed. And just about everything else. Including putting babies on spikes. That came up like four times. Don't really remember what I ate but it probably wasn't much. Never have time for food at tournaments.

Saturday: Went for a five mile bike ride in the pouring rain. Got completely drenched. Good fun untill I got so much water in my shoes I could feel it slosh back and forth every time I pedaled. Took me about thirty five minutes. Not totally sure how long it was but my mother thinks about five. Pretty decent pace, the hills left me winded. Don't really remember what I ate yesterday but I know it included a lot of cream puffs.

Today I biked around the lake with Jeff, took us about fifty minutes. My mother reckons ten miles. No rain this time so that was nice. I biked downtown later today to go to Starbucks but only going back up the hill counts so that's like two miles. It only takes me ten minutes now. Going down takes me five, that's a fun hill.

Lunch: a concoction of tortilla, two eggs and a lot of cheese cooked in a frying pan. Not bad really

Didn't really do anything exerciseish today. I meant to bike around the lake but my mother wouldn't let me because it was too dark. I did: fail a physics test, give a horrible impromtu speech in which I said that people said the moon was made of cheese to counter Galieo's theories and go to an awesome concert. The concert was spectacular. It was Oly symphony chamber music, my cello teacher played this incredible Brahms clarinet trio. It was amazing. And there was also a child prodigy pianist guy. He was incredible. Made me feel very small and untalented. Did make me like solo piano though, something I usually don't. But he's 17 and his voice hasn't broken yet and he sounds like a nine year old. That helped a lot. Nice guy although I didn't really talk to him all that much. The old ladies from Panorama city loved him.

Not enough of the world understands Shakespeare. That's my major thought for the day. And if they do understand it then they don't appreciate it properly.

Went to SPSCC to use workout whatnot. Push up and sit up count 58 and 21. I hope to increase both. I like this pace a lot. I don't want to die the next day. That approach will get me in shape faster but the rest of my life suffers greatly. This way I actually enjoy everything instead of wincing with pain at every move. I like using weights. I don't use much, 15-20 lbs on the machines and 8 lbs free weights and always ten reps. I tried out every machine although I don't know what any of them are called. And even went for a short run. Very short. I don't like running. Used to. Then my hip died and now running is painful if I do too much. So I bike a lot. But this short of run was nice.

Physics Rant

You know, chocolate with coffee beans in it works almost as well as coffee itself. Isn't that an important discovery. I'm barely awake.

Went to Evergreen after school. There's carpet in the locker rooms. Holy crap. I started at it. I would have smelled it but I was in a hurry. They've had the disgusting ouchy floor since I was like four. (yes, I've been going to Evergreen for a while) Everything else was still the same. I talked to my mother afterwards and the place actually isn't open untill the 9th, we just got in because swim team was using the place. Oh well, it works. I urged a 2k in 9:09. Much better than I thought for the level of out of shape I am. I didn't expect to break ten. Not actually too sore either, I'm sure tomorrow I'll want to die.

Physics: I don't care about the radius' of Mercury, Saturn, or any other planet. I don't care how far the sun is from the center of the Milky Way, or what the mass of the galaxy is, or how many stars there are in it. I have never cared and I never will. I don't care about Maude, Mabel, poles with fish on them, Barry, or his tray. Or the Newton horse. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGH Okay... I'm better now.

Food: a very unhealthy day and not worth mentioning.

2006, yay whoopie

Happy New Year children.

I did nothing today. Or rather yesterday really. I went bowling... And almost screamed at my mother. My meal schedule was pretty screwed up. I didn't have breakfast, then I had lunch and two dinners. And I bought an Arabic man dress. It's pretty awesome, I'm currently shopping ebay for patches for it.

Did you know that mallards mate for life? And a random type of hamster. That's what I get for looking up monogamy on wikipedia. I looked up incest too but they didn't have any fun animal trivia for that one. But my brother and sister gerbils had kids. They turned out okay. I'm going to shut up now.
